Project objectives

To develop a curriculum on environmental issues and practices for primary schools.

To effect the attitude and behavior of primary students by increasing their environmental awareness through the practice of the developed curriculum

To improve the capacity of primary school's for environmental education.

To produce education materials that may be used more broadly in Vietnam.
Results/outcome

A curriculum was developed and practiced in 4 pilot primary schools.

A manual to be used by teachers for environmental education of students was produced. The manual includes a range of activities, which applied within the schools to improve the local environment and aid in the students’ education

The 2 day training of trainers (ToT) course was executed for school teachers of 4 schools and staff of Dong Da education

Posters for environmental education was designed and printed

A competition on environmental awareness was organized within each school in order to encourage the children’s to study about environmental protection

A competition among the 4 schools was organized at Thai Thinh Primary school with the participation of children in 4 primary school
VPC’s role (leader, partner) and level of involvement in the project
VPC is the implementing agency in cooperate with Dong Da Education Department.
