Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between the Vietnam Productivity Centre (VPC) and the Korea Productivity Center (KPC)

On August 03, 2010, the signing ceremony was held in Hanoi at the head office of the Vietnam Productivity Centre. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Managing Director, VPC, and Dr. Choi Dong-Kyu, CEO and Chairman, KPC signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaborative relationship between the VPC and the KPC, with particular reference to the promotion and implementation of productivity movement in Korea, Vietnam and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Representatives from the KPC and other managers of the VPC were also present at the ceremony.

This MoU is expected to strengthen Vietnam-Korea relations and have a strong, positive impact on the development of the VPC and the KPC. The areas of collaboration under this MoU will (i) promote the exchange of information, best practices, benchmarking information, knowledge, tools and expertise in relation to productivity improvement for enterprises and industries, (ii) identify and develop common projects of interests in productivity research, development and promotion, (iii) facilitate the exchange of information and contact points in the government and private sectors in the areas of mutual interests, (iv) explore joint programs of training or human resource development when appropriate and (v) enhance bilateral cooperation between two NPOs for enhancing capability of providing consulting and training services on Productivity & Quality.

After the ceremony, the KPC delegates paid a courtesy call to Dr. Ngo Quy Viet, Director General, Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ).
