Introduction

Established in 1997 under the Directorate for Standards and Quality, Vietnam Productivity Centre acts as the core of Productivity and Quality Movement in Vietnam and implementing agencies for the Asian Productivity Organization programs.

What we do?

The VPC's programs cover a wide range of areas with special focus on socio – economic development, environmental performance, productivity measurement and analysis, quality management, information technology, green productivity and community development. Its assistance to Vietnamese organizations and communities is through transferring skills, know-how and strategies that are deeply customized and applicable in firms, factories, farms or offices. The VPC has been enhancing its contribution to the development of Vietnam.

Promoting of Productivity and Quality:

• As a focal point for implementation of the activities initiated by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), including the twenty National Productivity Organizations and other international organizations, Vietnam Productivity Centre (VPC) has successfully implemented many national large-scaled Productivity and Quality promotion programs and conducting surveys/researches. VPC has been considered by APO as one of the youngest and most dynamic National Productivity Organizations in the region.
• Organizing workshops for information exchange among different industrial sectors/communities to share and learn experiences; hosting conferences and seminars on the issues of productivity improvement for entities and socio – economic development.
• Establishing and coordinating an expertise network at home and abroad, building and monitoring the movement of productivity and business environment across the country.

Project implementation and coordination

• Coordinating and implementing a variety of projects among which being a trustworthy partner of International organizations, namely as the European Commission, the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), the Asian Society for Environmental Protection (ASEP), the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization Japan (NEDO)... These projects cover different sectors from quality management, information and communication technology (ICT) to environmental protection, community development.
• Implementing development projects which were assigned by the Vietnamese Government, the Ministry of Science and Technology; the Directorate for Standards and Quality and other related Ministries and Local Authorities to improve the living standards of communities and to increase the competences of businesses.
