Recognizing the significance of and need for capacity building in this area, the APO is continuing energy management- and EE-related projects in 2010. This e-learning course will cover the energy management concept and principles and show how EE can be adopted in industrial installations and operations.

Organizations today have an increased awareness of the value of information and perceive an increasing need to protect their information assets. An ISMS is a risk management approach to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of an organization's information. The IS027000 series of standards have been specifically developed by the ISO for information security. This series is aligned with a number of other standards, including IS09000 (quality management) and IS014000 (environmental management).

This e-learning course is meant to expand the opportunities available to member countries to develop their KM capacities. The course is targeted at a wider audience already involved in KM and aims to provide in-depth training to equip participants with the methodology to implement KM in an organization using the APO approach. The course will offer real-time training and include many case studies and group exercises to make the four-day program interactive and relevant to participants' needs.
